Marinated Tofu:
2 tubs of frozen tofu (extra-firm), thawed
3 Tbsp. tahini or peanut butter
1/3 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp. paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp. onion powder
2 tsp. salt

BBQ Sauce
1 medium Onion, Chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup olive oil
2 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
1 cup dry natural sweeter (Sucanat is nice)
2 Tbsp. molasses
1 1/2 tsp dried parsley
1 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. Bragg’s Liquid Aminos
3/4 cup lemon juice

Marinated Tofu: Cut thawed tofu into square chunks (not too thin not too think). Mix together remaining ingredients in bowl with a spoon until smooth. Place Tofu in large casserole dish and marinate with mixture, being sure to cover evenly.Cover dish and let marinate for at least 1 hour. Bake chunks in casserole dish until browned (about 25 minutes). Turn over and bake until other side is brown (about 25 more minutes). Pour BBQ sauce over Tofu and bake until heated through.

BBQ Sauce: Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in oil until clear and nearly carmelized. Add remaining ingredients, except Bragg’s and lemon juice. Bring sauce to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
